For those who have been hurt by domestic violence, we're here to help.

Domestic violence occurs in homes throughout every community. It knows no color, gender, age or socioeconomic status. The abuse can be physical, mental, sexual, financial or emotional. As a victim of domestic violence you may feel like there's nowhere to turn, but there is hope.

For more than 30 years the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois has been dedicated to ending domestic violence and providing support and empowerment to victims and their families. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide support, information and resources to those affected by domestic violence. We offer a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling for adults and children, court and police advocacy, information and referrals.

Our Mission

The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois works to eliminate domestic violence in individual lives and society as a whole.

Our Philosophy

At the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois we believe that all people have the right to be free from harm, to be respected, and to determine and pursue their own goals.
